201４年１月 アイルランド国立リムリック大学大学院修士課程アイルランド伝統音楽演奏科修了

クラシックフルートを玉手淳子、大見幸司各氏に師事。 アイリッシュフルートを豊田耕三、Niall Keegan, Majella Bartley,Steph Geremia各氏に師事。ティンホイッスルをMajella Bartley氏に師事。 その他、Kevin Crawford, Catherine McEvoy, Harry Bradley, Tom Doorley, Conal O’Grada, Cylvain Barou, Jean Michel Veillon, Brian Finnegan, Tommy Fitzharris,Steph Geremia各氏から指導を受け、様々なフルートの演奏スタイルにふれる。 またKaren Tweed（アコーディオン）、Aiden Boland(ピアノ)、Tyler Duncan(イーリアンパイプス)、Colm Delany（コンサーティーナ）、Donal Luny（ブズーキ）、Alan Kelly（アコーディオン）、Ryan Molloy（コンポーザー）など様々なミュージシャンから影響を受ける。

リムリック大学在学中伝統音楽のフェスティバルに複数参加、ケルト音楽の最高峰バンドAltanと共演も果たす。

＊現在
東京を拠点に複数のユニットでライブを行う他、いわき芸術文化交流館アリオス主催　”おでかけアリオス”　登録アーティストとして小中学校への出張演奏を行っている。

Tomoyo Sugai Born on 29 May, 1989. Tomoyo first started playing music on an electronic organ at the age of 5 before progressing to tenor saxophone at 13, modern flute at 16, and Irish flute at 22. She became interested in Irish music while studying English as an exchange student in Ireland in 2008, after which her love of traditional Irish culture and music blossomed to the point where she decided to enter the University of Limerick to study for a Masters Degree in Traditional Irish Music Performance in 2012. She graduated in 2014 and is now living in Tokyo. She performs regularly in the Tokyo and Iwaki-City, Fukushima area and In her free time enjoys running. Mentors and influences include: Kozo Toyota, Niall Keegan, Majella Bartley,Kevin Crawford, Catherine McEvoy, Harry Bradley, Tom Doorley, Conal O’Grada, Cylvain Barou, Jean Michel Veillon, Brian Finnegan, Tommy Fitzharris,Steph Geremia, Tylor Duncan, Karen Tweed, Colm Delany, Donal Lunny, Alan Kelly, Ryan Molloy.
